8-16-2016 Update: A cool Portuguese website called Rodas de Viriato got in touch to let me know that this is a Masac 406/72 Tuxa, and that it was sold by Confersil. More information on the model can be found on their site.
Confersil was a Portuguese motorcycle manufacturer that made a variety of small displacement two stroke bikes with engines from Zundapp and Casal. I should really be playing “Guess That Bike” with this thing because I cannot figure out what the official model name was. Do you know?
My default resource for the occasional motorcycle that came out of Portugal is Motos de Portugal, and while they have info on some Confersils, I can’t find anything about this one. All I can tell you is that it’s got a 50cc Casal engine, which was a bit of a clone of a Zundapp mill.
The seller says it’s probably the only one in the US, which might just be right. The paint has small nicks but it looks good, and it still has the air pump. The seller says it ran when he got it (but doesn’t specify when that was) and he then drained it of fuel and put it in a collection. Find this Casal for sale near Bethany Beach, Delaware for $1,800 here on Craigslist.
