Norton Commando fans know that 1972 was a bad year for the motorcycle. The British firm introduced an upgraded engine, designated Combat. Unfortunately, the bearings would often self-destruct, rendering the engine useless.
This example (VIN: 209068) has been with the seller for over 20 years and has not given him or her any trouble. It has 18,257 miles and is mostly original. Aftermarket parts include the turn signals and the Corbin Gunfighter seat, while OEM replacements include the stainless pipes and Euro style handlebars. I don’t really care for the repainted sidecovers, but the rest of this bike looks nice.
