In the world of Norton Commandos, there’s very few modern legends that owners will trust to hop-up their bikes. Kenny Dreer and his VR880 is high up there, as is the firm of Colorado Norton Works, one of the best restorers out there. Here’s your chance to get one of their jewels.
If you want a new build from Colorado Norton Works, you’re looking at about $30k plus the donor bike and at least a year wait! So if you like the way this one looks, I guess it’s your chance to cut the line. For more on CNW, check out this article from Motorcycle Classics.
This example (VIN: 303871) has 3,708 miles and the seller calls it “the best of both worlds, not only is it a jewelry quality show bike; it is also a fully sorted, state of the art rider.” The original owner had CNW rebuild it between 2001-2002, the work included a engine/transmission rebuild and “every part on this bike was refinished.” Additional upgrades include dual Keihin FCR35 flat slide carbs, primary belt drive, hydraulic clutch, Tri-Spark electronic ignition, three-phase alternator, stainless steel CNW exhaust, Shorai lithium battery, and much more. Everything is said to work and it’s offered on a clean North Carolina title. It’s worth checking out the listing just to see the full list of modifications.
