1973 Honda CL450 Scrambler

In Dual-Sport, Japan by AbhiLeave a Comment

The dual-sport cousin of the Black Bomber, Honda’s CL450 was the best selling of the scramblers of the day. Because of this, you can find one with relative ease even though they haven’t been made in 40+ years…unless it’s a highly original example with just 2,642 miles on it!

Basic specs included 45 horsepower from the same 444cc parallel twin found in the CB450. Dry weight was 401 pounds and with enough time you could hit 105 miles per hour. For more on the CL450, check out this story on Hemmings.

This example (VIN: CL450E5017231) is said to be an unrestored example that “runs, rides, and shifts smoothly through the gears.” The seller (who frequently lists on Bring A Trailer) serviced the bike with new tires, oil, battery, spark plugs, kick start shaft seal, fuel hoses, and a “once-over” on the carbs.” The sale includes the toolkit and owner’s manual.

Find this CL for sale in Hortonville, Wisconsin with a BIN of $8,650 here on eBay.
