Post Sale Update: After a hefty 50 bids, this Jackpiner sold for $7,000.
The Jackpiner is a very important motorcycle in KTMs history of expansion to the US – this was the first Penton to utilize a KTM motor. ’73 was the first year of the model and KTM considered it to be so iconic that in 1997 that released a “30th Anniversary” (of the marque, not the bike) 200 that they brought back the Jackpiner name and iconic blue color for – I’ve featured one of those in the past as well. I love this listing because the bike is in impressive shape, but hurry because it’s ending soon!
This example (VIN: 30160731) is on offer from the original owner, who bought it new in November of 1972. He says it’s “stock, original, and in showroom condition.” As if that wasn’t good enough, he ordered it with the enduro kit so it has the speedo and lights, and he’s kept it registered since new. I can’t imagine you’ll find a better example of the breed around. The seller says it needs nothing and is in perfect running condition. It’s been featured at a few shows and won some awards, so you can show it or ride it. Either way I’m sure you’ll be happy.
