Peter Boggia of Moto Borgotaro is known for his excellent work with vintage European bikes. He’s often got some cool stuff for sale but I usually don’t feature them any more because he doesn’t have asking prices online. This time around, his offering is on eBay, and it’s worth checking out just because of the beautiful photography. The bike’s not bad either, but you’re looking at over $30k on the bidding now.

If you need a refresher on why the SFC is so special, check out this article on Motorcycle Classics. But SFC stood for Super Freni Competizione (Super Brakes Competition). Each engine was dyno tested to make sure it put out at least 70 horsepower, good for a top speed of 135 miles per hour. It’s a bike that was built to satisfy standards of performance, not to meet a budget.

This example (VIN: 17164) was originally sold in Canada, which is why it does not have the mirrors or turn signals of the usual US models. It’s featuring a steel tank though the original fiberglass unit is included in excellent condition. It’s been restored and features DMC electronic ignition. I’m already jealous of the next owner.
