Post-Sale Update: After being relisted, this Moto Guzzi 850T Cafe Racer sold for $5,127 on eBay.

The touring variant of the venerable California, the Moto Guzzi 850T was an oddball. It wasn’t as pretty as the average Italian bike, but it was much more reliable – making it a great ‘do-it-all’ bike and an interesting platform for a wide variety of customs. This model’s been turned into a cafe racer.

This specific Moto Guzzi 850T Cafe Racer is a trophy winner that has an estimated 108,646 miles on it. The current owner bought it in poor condition in 2008 and went about restoring/customizing the bike as a father/son project. The black bodywork highlights the hammered copper frame, and the mechanical components seem to be in good shape. The seller does a good job summarizing each aspect of the bike, including two minor dents and a small chip in one of the cooling fins.
