Back in the day, Suzuki offered TC (trail), TM (motocross), TF (farm), and TS (dual-sport) machines. Here’s the biggest option of the TS line, which was built from ’71 to ’79.
Quick tangent to highlight the MX brother of this bike, the TM400 (also known as the Cyclone). Off-Road wondered if the TM400 was the most dangerous bike ever built in this article. Thankfully, you won’t have to worry about that with this TS, also known as the Apache. The engine put out 34 horsepower and almost 30 pound-feet of torque, good for a top speed of 85 miles per hour. Dry weight was 277 pounds.
This example has just 5,586 miles and looks to be in good shape. The seller put 400 miles on it this summer in 3 different vintage two stroke events and says the bike had no issues. The bike is original with the exception of new tires, front fender, battery, chain/sprockets, rebuilt petcock and carb, and POR-15 lining in the fuel tank. Find this TS400 for sale in Beaverton, Oregon for $3,595 here on Craigslist.
