BMW built a series of bikes around the 980cc boxer twin. In the “S” configuration, which features a small front fairing, the motor was good for 66 horsepower. For more on the R100S, check out this reprint of a May 1977 Cycle Magazine Road Test (hosted on webBikeWorld.) This example was built in 12/77 and it’s a matching numbers bike with both period and modern upgrades. The odometer shows about 46,000 miles.
