Considered by some to be an evolution of the classic V7 Sport, Moto Guzzi’s LeMans became a legend in its own right. Named after the famous race track in France, the Le Mans (if I’m allowed to oversimplify) was basically a 850T engine surrounded by much more beautiful bodywork. Here’s a low mileage example that’s not in the iconic red livery.

High compression pistons and 36mm Dell’Ortos helped the 850 put down 71 horsepower, good for a top speed of around 135 miles per hour. For more on the 850 LeMans, check out this write-up on Motorcycle Classics.

This example (VIN: 074651) was acquired by the seller three years ago during his annual pilgrimage to Barber. At the time it had a recent paint job and just over 14,000 miles. Over the last three years the seller says he’s brought the condition from “very good” to “excellent” and upped the mileage to 14,583. Work included new brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, U joints, cush drive, Ikon rear shocks, and a NOS steering damper, plus powdercoated wheels and rotors and a jet coated exhaust. All work was done by HCV Motorsports. Find this first generation LeMans for sale in Asheville, North Carolina with bidding up to $8,770 and the reserve not yet met
