Founded by Geoff Fox in 1974, the company we currently know as Fox Racing was started under the name of Moto-X Fox as a mail order business. They quickly expanded to offer hard parts, protective gear, casual apparel, and even products for ATVs, cars, and bicycles. In ’77, they started their own race team in AMA, and it led to many tributes over the years, like this one.
This example is a Honda CR250 that’s been restored and “built to race vintage class.” It features several Fox parts: forks, front engine mounts, swingarm, shocks, and seat cover. It also has other period upgrades such as Phil Denton head stay mounts, Pro-Form Racing expansion chamber, Johnny O front fender, VMX rear fender, and a vintage chain guard. The seller notes that the engine has been rebuild and painted in the factory matte red, while the frame has been painted and clearcoated.
