The successor of the uber-limited HB1 (one of which just sold at Bonhams Grand Palais for $72,103), the Bimota HB2 replicated the formula of Honda engine inside a Bimota frame. This time Bimota used the engine from the CB900F, and produced a much more reasonable number of examples – 193 of them.
Per usual, Bimota used high spec parts like Ceriani forks, and a De Carbon shocks to complement the in-house frame. The bike was 441 pounds – a whopping 70 less than the CB900F. One magazine was able to hit 138 miles per hour in a period test and the handling put nearly every other bike to shame.
This specific Bimota HB2 (VIN: 00100) is #100 of 193. The odometer reads just shy of 3,000 miles…and that’s pretty much all the information you’ll get from the seller without reaching out them.
