Post Sale Update: This Sei sold for $10,785 after 30 bids on eBay.
Earlier this week, I featured a 50-mile example of the world’s first production six-cylinder bike, but the asking price was $21,000. Here’s an example that’s got a few more miles (10K), but it’ll hopefully sell for quite a bit less.
Seeing as I just featured one a couple of days ago, I won’t go into specs on the bike. If you do want more information though, check out this profile from Motorcycle Classics.
This example (VIN: ZBNB0AB00DP011261) has 10,008 miles and it’s being offered by the third owner. The seller acquired the bike in 2014 and took a year to restore the bike (except for leaving the original paint). His work included powdercoating the frame and wheels, installing new wheel bearings, honing the cylinders, rebuilding the carbs, and more. There are some non-original upgrades like a new electronic ignition system, rear shocks, regulator/rectifier, and K&N air filter. These are my favorite kinds of motorcycles – cosmetically original but mechanically refurbished. If you’re like me, you can find this Benelli for sale in Silver City, New Mexico with bidding up to $7,900 and the reserve not yet met
