Between 1983 and 1985, BMW built a limited edition of their R65. Called the R65LS, it featured a polarizing front fairing that makes the bike look faster than it actually was.
Functionally, there isn’t much difference between the BMW R65LS and the bike it’s based on. You still got the 50 horsepower boxer twin – the only mechanical difference was an upgrade to dual disc Brembos on the front wheel. The major cosmetic difference is obviously the front fairing. This example has roughly 18,700 miles and it’s equippe dwith the original tool kit, optional factory luggage, and a tank bra. The seller says that it “runs and rides brilliantly” and that it’s “a true gentleman’s sport-touring machine which has been unaltered.”
