Before the Transalp and the Africa Twin, there was the XLV750R – Honda’s first attempt at a touring bike that could get a little dirty. Honda originally planned to sell this bike only in Europe (not including England), though they eventually offered it to Australia and New Zealand. 500 of the first bikes were also put away for the Japanese market, and Honda called this group the Limited Edition.
The Limited Edition bikes got ventilated front brake discs, a blue seat strap, and a plaque on the frame (you can sort of see it under the right side cover) – otherwise they were the same as the stock bike, which wasn’t particularly wonderful on dirt. For more on that, check out this review from Australasian Dirt Bike. Still, they’re cool looking and incredibly hard to find in North America so I’m interested to see if this sells!
This example has 17k kilometers (just over 10,000 miles) and the seller says the “condition overall is decent” while noting some corrosion and pitting. It’s got a Hagon shock and year-old tires.
Find this XLV for sale for $6,500 US in Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada (includes delivery to Spokane or Wenatchee, Washington) here on ADVRider.
