Most riders think of the 3 1/2 when they hear Moto Morini, but the firm was also known for their 500 Sei-V that was produced a decade later…to very little fanfare. What was once a classically beautiful motorcycle became an odd jumble of plastic and angular lines as the Italian company tried to compete with bikes coming out of Japan.
The Sei-V (six speed V-twin) produced 46 horsepower, and is cheaper than its predecessor due to the relative lack of popularity. For more information, check out this article from RealClassic, which compares the 3 1/2 to the 500.
This specific Moto Morini 500 V Sport has just 1,300 miles and is claimed to be in pristine condition. The owner has put the last 1,000 miles on and during that time has added stainless mufflers, CRG mirrors, Wolfgan Tritsch rear sets (many people found the original foot pegs to be too far forward), Works Performance shocks, and billet stacks for the rejetted Dell’Orto carbs. You’ll also get plenty of spares to help keep this bike going for the next 30 years.
