The seller of this example calls it a ’85 model, however at that point Suzuki had cut displacement down to 700 to get around the tariffs that Reagan implemented to help Harley-Davidson. My guess is that this is actually from 1983.
If I’m correct about the model year, then this motor features Suzuki’s “Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber”, which helped the 747cc motor put out approximately 60 horsepower at the rear wheel. For more information on the GS750E, check out this Retrospective from Rider Magazine.
This example is said to be an “unmolested running survivor” with 8,600 miles on the odometer. The bodywork looks great for the age, and the bike has new tires. Find this GS for sale here on Craigslist for $3,200 in Lynwood, California.
