Post Listing Update: This RM125 did not get any interest at the opening bid of $1,900.
RM was Suzuki’s designation for Racing Model, and it was reserved for motocross racers. Displacements ranged from 50cc to 500cc, and the two-stroke 125 was built between 1975 and 2007. This example features a recent engine rebuild (less than 30 minutes on the motor) and a few restored parts.
Suzuki revamped the RM125 in 1981 and for a couple of years it was the leader of the pack. By ’83, Yamaha had caught up (and arguably surpassed the Zook) For more on the RM125, check out this 1983 shootout from Motorcross Action Magazine.
Per the seller, this bike has receipts for the engine work, as well as new tires, new brakes, and plastics that are in “excellent shape.” He calls it “a true time capsule.” Find it for sale in Saint James, New York with an unmet opening bid of $1,900 or a BIN of $2,500
