1983 Suzuki XN85 Turbo

Of all the Japanese turbo wonder bikes of the 80s, Suzuki’s effort was the rarest. Just 1,153 examples of the XN85 Turbo were built, and it had the distinction of being the first production motorcycle with a 16″ front wheel. When paired with the Full Floater rear suspension, that resulted in a machine that Motorcyclist magazine described as such: “Nothing works better in the corners than the Suzuki XN85.

The low-pressure turbo helped the 673cc motor produced 85 horsepower – which is how the bike got its name. If you want more information, check out this retrospective on Cycle World.

This example (VIN: JS1GP71TXD2100431) has just under 9,700 miles and it was recently brought back to life after unspecified time in long-term storage. The seller notes that “it runs perfectly and has been road tested for approximately 30 kms with zero issues; everything functions as it should.” There are some minor cosmetic issues including corrosion, scratches, and evidence of a tip over on the right side, plus you’ll want to replace the tires. The front brake lines have been upgraded with stainless steel braided units. The Suzuki decals on the tank do not look to be factory to me.
