Post Sale Update: After 33 bids on eBay, this K2 sold for $4,801.
Normally, a 350 from Morini makes people think of the 3 1/2, but the Italian firm released the Moto Morini 350 K2 a decade later.
The K2 was only built between ’84-’86, and it utilized an air-cooled four stroke engine which displaced 344cc. This engine put out 35 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 20 lb-ft of torque. The styling evolved to be a bit more Japanese, which I don’t think works on this bike, but you can’t argue with the components: Marzocchi suspension, Grimeca triple discs, LaFranconi exhaust, Dell’orto carbs, and more.
This specific Moto Morini 350 K2 (VIN: 2LMAK3335EB024065) has under 5,000 miles and looks great. The current seller has had the bike for 4 years and put 750 miles on it in that time. Though it’s in good shape, it has a few nicks near the ignition switch and a cracked windshield – nothing unreasonable for a 30-year old original motorcycle. It won 3rd place in the Modern Classic class in the Cycle World Rolling Concours in 2012.
