Post Sale Update: This RG400 Gamma sold for $7,500 after 19 bids on eBay in Raleigh, North Carolina.

You know the RG500 – but did you know that Suzuki made a 400cc version for Asian markets?

Only 6,000 examples were built between 1985 and 1987, the RG400 is a rare find in the US. One would think that the RG500 is a more enjoyable ride, but if you already have a RG500, this would be an interesting addition to your collection. The 397cc two-stroke square-four motor produced 59 horsepower at 9,000 rpm.

This example shows approximately 29,800 kilometers (18,500 miles) on the odometer, and it’s got a lot of recent work – new battery, new paint and decals on the bodywork, rebuilt forks, new throttle cables, new Zero Gravity windscreen, new OEM grips, and lots of new stainless steel bolts and nuts to replaced rusted ones. The sale includes new seat covers for both seats, a spare passenger seat, the original windshield, and four sets of needles/jets for tuning at different altitudes.
