Post Listing Update: Despite 24 bids on eBay up to $3,555, this K2 did not meet reserve.
Built between 1984 and 1986, the K2 was the eventual successor to the legendary 3 1/2, and it’s a rare find in the US. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the styling – it’s very clearly a child of the 80s, and not in a good way – but the high spec components and low weight (330 pounds dry) mean that it’s a joy to throw around corners. Plus, you can’t see what it looks like when you’re riding it, right?
Said components included Marzocchi suspension, Grimeca triple disc brakes, LaFranconi exhaust, and Dell’orto carbs. The 344cc V-twin produced 35 horsepower and 20 lb-ft of torque.
The seller’s a bit light on details with this bike, but it has 2,392 miles and it works. The seller is letting go of his motorcycle collection and this is the last Morini to go. He notes a “few small scratches in the paint” but he’s supposedly had it for ‘quite a while’ and only put a few hundred miles on it.
