The Suzuki GSXR 750 Limited Edition was an absolute legend in the world of 80’s sportsbikes – a bike that deserved the 50% increase in MSRP over the regular GSXR 750. The dry clutch upgrade was a $2,000 option in itself! Compared to the standard, this bike got a solo tail cowl, steering damper, the aforementioned dry clutch, metal fuel tank, and some serious exclusivity. Less than 1,000 were ever produced.

The most expensive Japanese sports bike available at the time, the Suzuki GSXR 750 Limited Edition was a solid 60 pounds lighter than the competition. Because of that, lots of these bikes went straight to the track, making them even hard to find on the streets. Think of this bike like a 60’s muscle car. 20-30 years from now, this will be worth an incredible amount of money. This example has 7,183 miles and has been storage for 10 years – apparently the seller put 4 miles on it and then put it away. It’s not perfect, it’ll need a full service, a battery, and new tires. The upper fairing has been repaired, the stock wheels are white, and it has a Lockhart Phillips smoke windscreen. I’m looking forward to see how much this sells for compared to a more original example now that the reserve has been met.
