Originally sold only in the Japanese Domestic Market, Yamaha’s SDR200 can now occasionally be found in Europe and the US thanks to the grey-market. Reminiscent of a tiny Ducati monster, the SDR features a distinctive trellis frame.
The SDR featured a two-stroke single cylinder engine with Yamaha’s YPVS technology. The 195cc engine was good for 34 horsepower, and the motorcycle had a 6-speed transmission. All of that came in a package that weighed just 253 pounds, enabling a claimed top speed of 99 miles per hour.
This example has 15,000+ miles and everything is said to work. However, it needs “some light TLC” and as you may be able to tell from the license plate, the bike is currently on a UK title. Find this SDR for sale in Colorado Springs, Colorado for $3,500 here on Craigslist.
