1988 Yamaha TDR80

In Japan, Small Displacement by AbhiLeave a Comment

Never sold in the US, the TDR80 is a mini version of the awesome TDR250…that we sadly didn’t get here, either.

Yamaha has an example of the even smaller TDR50 in their internal museum collection in Communication Plaza, “a space that presents the past, present, and future of the Yamaha Motor group.” On that site, Yamaha themselves call this a “scaled-down 50cc replica of the on/off-road TDR250 sport model.” It utilizes the same 80cc motor from the YSR80 (but with liquid cooling), 12″ cast wheels, disc brakes, and over 5 inches of suspension travel at both ends!

This example (VIN: 3GA000750) has just 980 miles and it’s said to be completely stock. It does suffer from the usual corrossion seen in Japanese imports but in the seller’s words, “other than that it is a solid little bike.”

Find this TDR for sale in Houston, Texas with a BIN of $4,990 here on eBay.
