In 2012, this Transalp was rebuilt to a high standard and then lightly enjoyed. But the seller already owns two other TAs, so this mostly sits as a garage queen. Go get it dirty!
The first generation of the Transalp got a liquid cooled V-Twin that produced approximately 50 horsepower and was capable of 110 miles per hour. Wet weight was approximately 450 pounds. While this is a ’89 model, it has been given the “Fighting Red” paint scheme from 1990. The seller lists out a lot of the work that was performed in 2012, which includes tasks like cleaning and greasing the shock linkage bearings and swingarm bearings, installing a new CDI, sealing the fuel tank with POR 15, flushing all fluids, servicing the brakes, installing new spark plugs, and more. Per the seller, the only non stock features are Givi crash bars and a Givi top case mounting plate. The only flaws are with the paint, and the seller includes photos of a bubble on the tank and scuffing on the left cowl. For many more photos, check out the seller’s Dropbox album.
