The Honda VTR250 was only sold in the US for three years. Despite the simple nature – a liquid cooled 250cc engine with a six-speed transmission and an inboard front disc, it’s become quite the cult bike for fans of small-displacment motors.
For people who don’t mind small engines, this is truly a great all-arounder, and it will be a classic. You could attain 90mpg if you babied it, but still do 95mph if you needed it. Some might consider the riding position to be a bit cramped, but it’s very versatile, and it checks off the right boxes for a little bike. It’s light, nimble, and in a very 80’s way, good looking to boot.
This specific Honda VTR250 has covered less than 6,000 miles in its 24 year life, and the seller says it’s in excellent shape. It’s claimed to be part of a collection that the owner needs to disband due to relocation.
