A long time Bike-urious reader has sourced a lovely Bimota SB8R, which means one of his bikes has got to go. Looks like he’s cutting off this well-modded R100GS.
This bumblebee GS has 22,300 miles and it’s claimed to start and run excellent with no leaks – the seller says it ‘will go any distance straight out of his driveway.’ It’s never been off-road and everything works as it should. It got a recent service at Valdi’s Motozone which included new front brakes, new coil/wires/plugs and an overhaul of the carbs, including a rejet to OEM specs.
It comes with factory cases, a Fox shock in the rear, the owners manual, service manual, and the factory tool kit. But my favorite modification has to be the upgraded front caliper – a Brembo 4-pot unit from a K bike that really upgrades the front brake.
It’s been a California bike all its life that’s just been kept in good original shape. It’s available for $8,300, so if you’re interested in this GS, drop me a line at abhi@bike-urious.com – I’ll put you in touch with the seller.
