In the late 80s, Honda offered both an AT and a TA – the Africa Twin and the Transalp. Both were ahead of the times, though the latter was more street-biased. Consider it a jack of all trades sort of bike with a cult following. The US only got the Transalp between ’89 and ’91.

The first generation of the Transalp got a liquid cooled V-Twin that produced approximately 50 horsepower and was capable of 110 miles per hour. Wet weight was approximately 450 pounds. This example (VIN: JH2PD0605LM300616) has 60,614 miles and per the seller (who appears to be a BMW parts shop) says that it “has been well maintained with regular service intervals.” They add that the “silver fairings are in good condition with some normal riding wear. Right side crash bar has some surface scuffing, but no damage to the bike.” Upgrades include racks for side bags and a top case, Corbin dual seat, heated grips, accessory plugs, Barkbusters, and bar risers.
