Post Listing Update: This Bandit did not get any interest at the opening bid of $3,900.
In the US, the Suzuki Bandit was most commonly sold in 1,200 or 600cc variants. But Suzuki also brought a 400cc model to America for a couple of years. Most were red, which makes this blue example with the rare factory fairing and seat cowl a relatively difficult find.
Depending on the export market, the Bandit made between 50 and 60 horsepower. It’s a hard to find bike that reminds some of a baby Ducati Monster thanks to the trellis frame, but this is a much rarer sight on American roads.
This example (VIN: JS1GK75A2M2101516) has 24,400 miles and it’s almost stock except for stainless steel brake lines, smoked turn signal lenses, a gold chain, and a louder horn. The original turn signals, horn, and passenger seat are included. The seller says it “runs like a sewing machine on steroids!” There’s a few spots where touch-up paint has been applied and a small ‘ding’ on the front of the gas tank.
