The Yamaha GTS1000 is already a rare bike – and it features one of the coolest front ends in motorcycling history. But combine that with a sidecar that was specifically designed for the GTS, and you’ve got a combo that’s definitely worth featuring on Bike-urious.
Built by Side Bike, the Mega Comete sidecar was built just for the GTS, with an interesting linkage into the hub-center steering of the front wheel. These rigs are somewhat popular in Europe but the seller knows of only 2 in the US, including is. I sure as hell don’t know of any other! Here’s some pictures of the build of a different Mega Comete.
