The Ducati 888 SPO was a limited edition of the 888 – only 390 were produced over two years. Featuring the trademark desmo valve V-Twin, this 888 produced 94 horsepower and were very much suited to track time. Though road legal, the riding position is what one would call “committed”, and they weren’t friendly in traffic.
The ’94 was differentiated with a carbon fiber front fender, bronze wheels, larger front axle, and a numbered plaque on the top triple clamp.
This example is #63 from the second year of production (100 of which were imported to the US) and it has 19,050 miles. It’s upgraded with a Termignoni carbon fiber exhaust, Yoyodyne clutch slave cylinder, and Ducati Performance titanium front sprocket cover. It was last service and ridden in December 2019.
