Post Sale Update: After 10 bids on eBay, this SB6 sold for $6,799.

Some riders believe the SB6 is the last “old school” Bimota – a powerhouse of a Japanese engine wrapped in a Bimota frame that was miles ahead of the OEM option. Obviously, Bimota is still alive and kicking, but the general consensus is that Japanese frames have caught up. That might be a debate for another day.

Regardless, back in the 90s this bike was impressive: Paioli forks, Ohlins shock, and acres of carbon fiber draped around a Suzuki GSX-R 1100 engine. I’d say the paint schemes haven’t stood the test of time, but Visor Down calls this one of the six sexiest Bimotas ever made.

This example (VIN: ZES1SB613SRZES029) has a shade over 9,800 miles and is claimed to be in excellent condition with the exception of a 2″ rub on the right side of the frame and the fact that the low fuel light stays on no matter what the actual fuel level is. The bike has Rizoma grips and fluid reservoirs as well as 1″ lower aftermarket footpegs.
