The RVF400 is not well known in the US as it was never officially sold outside of the Japan. But for people in the know that are lucky enough to get their hands on one, this Honda (also known as the NC35) is one of the best 400cc sportbikes ever made.

The 399cc DOHC V4 engine is liquid-cooled and comes with gear driven cams and four 28mm carbs – apparently they sound fantastic. It produces a maximum of 59 horsepower, but you’ll need to be at 13,000 rpm to feel all those ponies. Want to learn more about why this bike is so special? Check out this review from MCN who say that “in its day it handled with all the agility and precision of a 250cc Grand Prix bike compared to old litre-sized buses like the GSX-R1100, and relatively big supersports machines like the FZR600.

This example has 7,412 miles and it’s currently titled and registered in Tennessee. The seller acquired it last year and has covered about 500 miles since. He says that everything works and that he will continue to ride it slightly. It’s in good cosmetic shape with just a couple of scratches ans cracks in the bodywork – the seller does a good job showing everything in the photos. Modifications include steel braided brake lines, reflective wheel tape, and aftermarket bar ends.
