4-9-17 Update: Nearly a year later, this Formula is back up for sale…but it’s moved from California to Independence, Oregon in the meantime. Find it with all of one additional mile on the odometer with bidding up to $2,025 and the reserve not yet met
Post Listing Update: This Laverda did not meet reserve with 14 bids up to $5,700. It was then relisted for $8,200 and got no interest at that BIN price.
Garage Company has been listing a bunch of cool bikes on eBay over the last couple of weeks – like the Asama Racer or this Bimota SB8R. But this Laverda Formula 750S might be the coolest one so far. Laverda introduced the Formula in 1996 with a 650cc engine. Soon after they got even fancier with the 750S Formula – a factory special with a bump in power and upgraded chassis components like Paioli suspension, Marchesini wheels, and Brembo brakes. This bike just about marks the end of Laverda as we know it.
The company was taken over by Aprilia in 2000 and after Piaggio bought Aprilia in 2004, anything related to the Laverda marque was shut down. THen again, Laverda was saved in 1993 by millionaire Francesco Tognon, so maybe some other wealthy individual will step up to save Laverda in the near future. The 750 Laverdas had a frame designed by Nico Bakker, and the Formula got a power bump to 92 horsepower.
This example (VIN: 2LVSSA101X0001348) has 26,671 miles and it looks to be in good shape. The seller doesn’t give much in terms of details, though, so you’ll have give them a call. Find this Laverda Formula for sale in El Segundo, California with bidding up to $5,500 and the reserve not yet met
