In the early 90s, most major motorcycle manufacturers entered a gentlemen’s agreement to cap horsepower at 125. Triumph decided that when they were going to bring the bikes back from the new plant in Hinckley, that the best way for them to get attention was to ignore said agreement. Enter the 147 horsepower Triumph Daytona 1200. A year after the bike went out of production, Triumph brought back the 1200 for a limited Special Edition run of just 250 bikes in a beautiful black and gold livery. It also came with individually numbered plates and 6-piston caliper brakes. This example is #16 of 250 and has enjoyed a solid 38,000 miles of life. With that said, it runs good and just needs a sprag clutch. Find this Triumph Daytona 1200 SE for sale here on Craigslist in Waukesha, Wisconsin for $2,000.
