Is Honda’s upcoming RC213V-S only a little too expensive for your taste at approximately $184,000? If $123,000 is more of your price range and you’d much prefer a 2-stroke powerband, then Suter has got the bike for you.
Suter is releasing a limited run of 99 models of the MMX500, a 576cc V-4 two-stroke that puts down 195 horsepower, weighs 280 pounds and has a claimed top speed of about 195 miles per hour. It’s an absolute bargain compared to the Honda (which is limited to 101 ponies in the US). Ohlins fully adjustable suspension is paired with Brembo brakes and a custom aluminum frame to surround the impressive engine. If you’ve never heard of Suter, they’ve accomplished quite a bit in motorcycle racing – their chassis has been used in Moto2 for the last few years.
