2000 Cagiva Gran Canyon

In Dual-Sport, Italy, Less than 5k by AbhiLeave a Comment

A street-focused adventure bike, the Gran Canyon presents an interesting option for those of you that want some Italian style and speed with all-day comfort. This one’s had a serious amount of recent maintenance so that it’s ready to criss-cross the country.

The Gran Canyon’s 904cc engine produces 70 horsepower and yields 36 miles per gallon. Very few were were imported to the US (I’ve seen estimates ranging from 200 to “a few thousand”), which means it will stand out pretty much anywhere you ride it. For a little more information, check out this Smart Money article on Motorcyclist.

This example has 27,493 miles, just 50 of which were put on after a major service that included a valve adjustment, timing belts, steering head and wheel bearings, Barnett clutch, rebuilt brake master cylinder, brake/clutch fluid flush, new rear brakes, and more. Modifications include a K&N air filter, Tourmaster saddlebags, Pelican tail case, a tall windscreen, and front turn signals from the European Gran Canyon. There’s some “cosmetic scratches & flaws but no damage”, and everything is said to work. The weirdest part of this listing may be the fact that the seller has three of these things in the above picture – who knows if there’s more around the corner. Hopefully that means he or she is an expert in the model.
