A couple of weeks ago, while writing up a CBR600F4 racebike, I mentioned that I’ve been on the hunt for some good RC51s to feature. Reader Zack B has answered my call thanks to this find of a Honda RC51 SP1 that, unlike most, is reasonably priced!

Honda RC51 SP1 - Front

The RC51 was such a legend as it was Honda’s take on the V-TWin replica racer, beating Ducati at it’s own game with multiple World Superbike Championships and a AMA Championship. With 133 horsepower, 71 ft-lb of torque, and one of the greatest exhaust sounds I’ve ever heard from a Japanese motorcycle (assuming you replaced the pipes), it was an absolute gem. Cycle World thinks this is one of the best used bikes you can buy, and I’d have to agree. This specific Honda RC51 SP1 has around 30k miles on it, and comes with plenty of modification such as a PCIII, Corbin seat, Speedohealer (thanks to 15/41 gearing for the street), Jardine slip-ons, and more. It’s had some recently maintenance and is ready to enjoy.
