In a 2012 review, Ed Milich of Motor Cyclist called the Quota “One of Moto Guzzi’s famous engineering answers to questions no one asked.” So what is it? The Quota has the 1064cc version of Guzzi’s classic twin in an Adventure-style package. Reviews at the time and more recently criticized it for its weight, lack of protection, and limited suspension capability when pushed into an off-pavement or dirt environment. On the other hand, they praised it as a reasonable sport-touring mount and capable commuter. The 71 hp mill had plenty of torque, and the upright seating and good protection made mile-munching a pleasure. There were some quirks noted – the typical “torque bump” you get from all Guzzis, and a somewhat notchy gearbox, but if you are looking at a Guzzi, you probably know all about those and they will not put you off.

This Quota has only 6000 miles, which is not even broken in for a Guzzi! You can expect to put many more on it with ease. It also includes hard top and side bags. Seller says it was just serviced and has new tire. Sounds like it’s ready for a big trip! The bike is located in Marietta, Georgia, which is just north of Atlanta, and is listed here on Craigslist for $4,800

You could fly into ATL, head up through the N GA mountains, take 129 up the Dragon over Deal’s Gap, then hit the Blue Ridge Parkway on you way home to where ever…Just saying…Well, maybe in the Spring…..
