4-30-16 Update: Alright, this’ll be the last time I share this bike. If it sells, it sells. If not, c’est la vie. Find it with bidding up to $2,125 and the reserve not yet met
7-6-15 Update: Almost a year later, this bike is now on the west coast. Unfortunately, the original Ghezzi speedo (which had broken) has been replaced by a Triumph unit, but it’s got a recent service and you can find it (ending very soon!) with bidding up to $3,100 and the reserve not yet met
8-16-14 Update: The sale of this Moto Guzzi V11 Sport Custom apparently did not go through last time, so it is back up for sale with a BIN of $5,500
Post-Sale Update: This custom V11 Sport sold for $5,049
Whether or not you care for the polarizing paint job, this Moto Guzzi V11 Sport Custom has had plenty of work done to it. I’m not really sure what else to say about this – you’ll either like the way this “modern cafe racer” looks, or you won’t. I’m more in the latter category, but I thought it was worth sharing.
This specific Moto Guzzi V11 Sport Custom (VIN: ZGUKRAK81M113072) has 6,800 miles and has been heavily modified. You’ll get major components from Brian Ghezzi, a legend in the Guzzi community. It’s claimed to run strong and have no mechanical problems.
There are couple of problems – the $550 Ghezzi speedometer reset after a battery replacement and the seller has not been able to set it since. In addition, the rear brake peg has broken and the seller welded it back together instead of replacing it.
