Are you an automotive engine expert? Maybe you’ll know what’s going on here, because I sure don’t. What we’ve apparently got is a “custom built 156 cubic inch Vee-Four Chevy” motor in a “Harley type” chassis. I’ve featured a couple example of the SuperVee (front two cylinders from a SBC Chevy 350) before, but this is even odder.
As far as I know, Chevy never made a V4, so my assumption is that this is a V8 that’s been chopped in half. But with a displacement of 156 cubic inches, I’m confused as to what this motor started as and I’m hoping one of you knows more than I do. The motor is paired with a six speed transmission and it’s equipped with a high flow carb, roller lifters, roller camshaft, and roller rockers. The seller’s got a high-lift roller cam that he claims makes the motor good for over 200 horsepower. He calls it “an awesome beast that draws attention & sounds like a top fuel dragster.”
