Post Listing Update: this Ghezzi Brian was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.
6-4-20 Update: Four years later, this bike is back on eBay and it’s correctly identified as a Super Twin. I love to see that it’s been ridden – the mileage has gone up from ~4,700 to 7,499 – and there’s better pictures. Find it in Santa Monica, California with a BIN of $24,900 or best offer here on eBay.
Last time I featured this bike, it was part of a collection of 15 bikes and it had a healthy asking price of $35,000. This time around it’s on eBay, so we’ll see what the market thinks it’s worth…
Ghezzi-Brian was founded in 1995 by Giuseppe Ghezzi and Bruno Saturno. Within a year they won the Italian SuperTwin championship, thanks to first place finishes in 9 of the 32 races. They took their SuperTwin and built a small run of replicas with the drivetrain from a Moto Guzzi Sport 1100i.
When I wrote about this bike (VIN: FP1239) the first time, I had no luck finding information on what the seller calls a “Supersonic”, and that hasn’t changed since. According to the seller, this bike has 4,686 miles and it features a “factory race program” in the CPU. He also mentions larger exhaust ports but it’s unclear what he’s comparing it to, and he says that the OZ Racing wheels were made particularly for this model run. I can’t verify any of that, so you’ll definitely want to call this seller to start your due diligence.
