2002 Yamaha WR250F

In Dual-Sport, Japan by AbhiLeave a Comment

Featured here is one of the cleanest 20+ year old dirt bikes I’ve seen in a while, thanks to the fact that it’s only been ridden once since a frame-up “overhaul” in 2023.

The WR250F was introduced in 2001 and it was based on the YZ250F motocrosser. WR ntoes that this has a wide-ratio transmission for enduro purposes, and this is one of the early ones: steel frame, 5-valve four stroke engine, 2.6 gallon fuel tank, and kickstart only.

There’s an impressive amount of upgrades here, plus new OEM Yamaha plastics and a whole bunch of recent maintenance:
– 2003+ OEM auto-decomp exhaust camshaft
– Michelin Starcross 5 Medium tires, Michelin HD tubes, dual rim locks (front/rear)
– Suspension revalved/resprung/re-sealed by Kessler Pro Suspension
– Twin Air air filter with screenless cage
– GYTR clutch cover
– Acerbis Rally Pro handguards with extensions
– Renthal 971 handlebars
– Motion Pro brake snake
– Hyde Racing skid plate
– Chad Reed inspired graphics
– Works connection forged levers, timing plugs, frame guards
– Flatland Racing radiator guards
– Renthal half-waffle grips
