Other models have surpassed it since but the SV650 has been a favorite of many riders for over two decades – it was introduced in 1999 and is still offered in showrooms today! In 2003 and 2004, Cycle World praised the SV650 and the SV650S as the Best Standard Bike, noting that “SV” could have stood for “Suprisingly Versatile.” This one’s been customized to be a bit more sporty but it’s one of the wildest SV customs I’ve seen.
Along those lines, here’s the wildest SV custom I’ve seen (we sold it over at Iconic) and this one may be the prettiest.
Per the seller, “the bike was custom painted to match the AGV helmet. The helmet will come with the bike and was only worn twice. The bike is solid and the only thing I haven’t sorted out is the speedometer not registering speed. This is due to the GSX-R 750 front end conversion. The wheel speed sensor needs to be relocated to the rear wheel.”
Highlights of the upgrades include:
– GSX-R600 rear wheel conversion
– Brembo caliper
– Galfer custom brake lines
– GSX-R600 rear shock
– Heli-bar clip-ons
– GSX-R750 front end conversion
– Brembo front brakes with Galfer rotors front and rear
– Custom front headlight
