Post-Sale Update: After a few unsuccessful listings on eBay, this Aprilia RSV 1000 R Nera sold for an unknown price directly through the MotoCorsa dealership/website.
The Aprilia RSV 1000 R was one of the best superbikes to ever come out of Italy. Back in 2004, however, Aprilia took it upon themselves to make an even more incredible version – the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Nera.
The main difference is the beautiful full set of carbon fiber body panels. In addition, the limited run of bikes came with magnesium OZ wheels, a full titanium exhaust from Akrapovic, and even titanium nuts, bolts, and fasteners – all of which helped to remove over 30 pounds of weight. The V-Twin engine even got a little boost, producing 139.5 horsepower at 5 digit rpm levels.
This specific Aprilia RSV 1000 R Nera has been on sale for over 2 years – and the price point is so high that we’re a little confused about what the seller is trying to do. We don’t expect this bike to sell at the asking price of a little under $30k – rather we wanted to take this opportunity to feature a very rare motorcycle that you probably will never get a chance to see in person. This is probably as close as you’ll get to being able to buy one new, as it’s only covered 100 miles and has never been sold or titled. The seller claims that MSRP of this bike when new was $39,500.
Find this Aprilia RSV 1000 R Nera for sale here on eBay with a Buy-It-Now price of $28,999 in Portland, Oregon. Or, check it out directly from the Moto Corsa website.
