There was above-average interest in the last Matrix-inspired Ducati I featured, so I figured I’d show you guys the other example of the breed – the Ducati Monster 620ie Matrix. Again produced as a tie in to the Matrix film series, just 45 examples of this limited edition were created by taking a standard Monster 620ie and modifying the cosmetics.
The cosmetic changes were basically limited to the custom green paint (a similar shade to the 998 Matrix), as well as the ‘falling characters’ imagery on the gas tank. The Monster 620ie produced 57 hp @ 9500 rpm. As this is a 2004 model, you’ll get the steel fuel tank, glass headlight lens, and four-piston gold Brembo calipers.
This specific Ducati Monster 620ie Matrix has had the tail chop and clear turn signals installed. You’ll also get CRC ‘lane-splitting’ mirrors. Other than that, the body work is all original, and all maintenance has been performed by Beverly Hills Ducati.
