The base model R11S was a wonderful all-around streetbike similar to the Honda VFR800. BMW went above and beyond with a couple of limited editions, including the Boxer Cup Replika as featured today. BMW created a spec series to race these bikes, and 300 examples were released as a homage.
I used to have a non-limited 2004 model and I still miss it a little bit. As VisorDown put it in their review, “the R1100S Boxer Cup Replika is a really individual, fun to ride sports bike that oozes quality and comes with a ton of presence.” By 2004, BMW had gone to the dual-spark motor, which bumped up power to 98 hp and 70 ft-lbs of torque. The seller claims that the bike has received $3,800 in service in the last 5k miles and it comes with a few goodies: the OEM saddlebags, tank bag, track stand, manuals, and some BMW clothing. Crucially, it also includes “all service records.” Please buy this before I do – the ~60k miles on the odometer aren’t a big deal at all for this motor.
Find this R1100S in Boise, Idaho (where I just was for the Tracer 9 GT+ launch!) with a Buy It Now of $5,500 here on eBay.
