The F4 is special because of the performance (which other bikes have surpassed) and the beauty (which I’d say other bikes have not). In 2005, MV Agusta updated the F4 series with a 998cc engine, which bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour. The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Nissin brakes, but for many riders the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) stole the show. I don’t think the F4 ever got any prettier – MV updated the bike a couple of times in the future but I think it got slightly worse looking each time. But maybe you disagree!
This example (VIN: ZCGAKFGM95V100199) has just 5,245 miles and the seller says it runs great, though he doesn’t note any maintenance history. “This example has no major damage, but some minor cosmetic flaws from being almost 20 years old, notably a touch up spot on the rear cowl.”
