the MV Agusta F4 is already a classic – here’s a low mile example from the first year of production (for the 1000).
The F4 is special because of the performance (which other bikes have surpassed) and the beauty (which I’d say other bikes have not). In 2005, MV Agusta updated the F4 series with a 998cc engine, which bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour. The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Nissin brakes, but for many riders the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) stole the show. I don’t think the F4 ever got any prettier – MV updated the bike a couple of times in the future but I think it got slightly worse looking each time. But maybe you disagree!
This example has 1,499 miles – the seller says it’s coming out of a private collection in showroom condition with one owner but we all know that sellers like to say one owner even if a bike has passed through a few hands so I’d look into that more. Still, it wouldn’t stop me from enjoying this beautiful bike, which was “recently serviced” (something else I’d want to clarify) and given a new battery.
